MP-6302 Power Line Carrier (PLC) Communication Module

The MP-6302 is a fully integrated, ultra-compact PLC communication module designed for simple wiring and space-efficient deployment. It is ideal for a wide range of real-time PLC applications, including smart street lighting, smart homes, intelligent parking systems, central air conditioning, and ubiquitous IoT terminal devices.

High-Performance Chip

Powered by the PS0211 chip, the MP-6302 integrates a high-speed/low-speed multi-mode PLC modem with an ARM Cortex-M3 processor. It supports IEEE P1901.1 standards and OFDM/FSK modulation, and is fully compliant with tonemask and SunSpec specifications, ensuring reliable, high-speed PLC communication for smart city and industrial IoT applications.

Versatile Interfaces

The module offers multiple interfaces including UART, PWM, GPIO, and ADC, along with a built-in line driver, allowing flexible integration into PLC-based smart lighting, IoT, and energy management systems.

HARDWARE DESIGN STATEMENT

1) Input power supply requirements

The motherboard is close to the 3.3V input end of the module. At least one 10uF and 0.1uF energy storage capacitor is placed to the ground to reduce the power supply ripple, and the peak value of ripple is less than 100mVpp.
Module 3.3V and other 3.3V uses on the motherboard 600R/100MHz, current resistance of 1A or more magnetic beads isolation.
Module 3.3V circuit at least 200mA and above current demand.


2) GPIO port description
 The module has 7 GPIO multiplexing ports, each with a pull-up or pull-down resistor.
GPIO_0 and GPIO_5 are in PWM mode by default.
When an external MCU is required, UART0 multiplexing pins should be used by default.


3) Software reset instructions
During normal operation of the system, applying a low level pulse with a width of ≥5ms on RSTN pin can effectively hard reset PS0211.
During normal operation, it is required that no burr (i.e., abnormal low pulse signal) appears on this pin.
